Editorial independence

Editorial Independence Statement

The Insightful Corner Hub (TICH) maintains a clear separation between editorial decisions and any commercial, institutional, or political interests.

Last reviewed: May 2026

Purpose

This statement makes our editorial independence explicit, so that readers, contributors, and partners understand how decisions about what we publish are made.

Scope

It applies to all editorial output on the platform, including articles, reviews, summaries, and reference material.

Core commitments

  • Editorial decisions are made by the TICH editorial team, free from advertiser, sponsor, or partner influence.
  • Sponsored or partnership content, where it appears, is clearly labeled and kept distinct from editorial content.
  • Commercial relationships do not determine which topics are covered, which sources are cited, or how conclusions are presented.
  • Editorial staff do not accept gifts, honoraria, or arrangements that could reasonably influence editorial judgment.

Separation of roles

Editorial functions (content planning, review, publication) are organizationally separated from administrative and commercial functions. Staff with editorial responsibilities do not negotiate commercial agreements that involve the content they oversee.

Conflict of interest disclosure

  • Contributors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose relevant financial and non-financial interests.
  • Disclosures are reviewed before assignment to a topic and may lead to reassignment if a material conflict exists.
  • Where appropriate, relevant disclosures are reflected on the published article.

Sponsorship and advertising

Where TICH accepts sponsorship, grants, or advertising, the arrangement does not include any right to review, approve, or modify editorial content prior to publication.

Responsibility

The editorial team is responsible for safeguarding independence in daily decisions. Structural oversight rests with TICH leadership and the Medical Review Board.
